Flügger develops wall-colour collection together with Eilersen

Eilersen celebrates its 125th anniversary in 2020 and, to highlight this, Flügger joined forces with Eilersen to develop three new wall colours to complement Eilersen’s furniture design with distinction.

Both Flügger and Eilersen are family-owned businesses that have existed for many years. They both share a desire to provide high-quality products. Contacting Flügger was a perfect choice for Eilersen when it wanted to develop its own palette of wall colours in 2014.

“Uniform branding is crucial to us, no matter if you encounter Eilersen products at a trade fair, our showroom or in print. As we never do anything halfheartedly, it made perfect sense not only to have beautiful furniture to look at, but to enhance the experience with wall colours that accentuate Eilersen’s design DNA. We’re pleased with our cooperation with Flügger, and it’s gratifying to know that both customers and dealers will get the same look that they encounter with us,” Nils Juul Eilersen says.

“Flügger decided to join forces with Eilersen in 2014, as we share the same view that creating a harmonious interior design in a home involves equal portions of setting and furniture. The colours we created together with Eilersen were developed and carefully selected to create a perfect match between furniture design and wall colour, accentuating both with distinction,” adds Ulla Matthiesen, Head of Communication, Flügger group A/S.

The three new wall colours – Bordeaux, Rome and Oviedo – were launched at the Eilersen stand at this year’s Stockholm Furniture Fair. The sources of inspiration for the colours come from historicism (the period from 1850 to 1900) to highlight the celebration of N. Eilersen A/S’ 125th anniversary in 2020.

“Eilersen is as close to its production and value chain as we are at Flügger. This close interaction enables us to test new solutions quickly and, like Eilersen, we’re not afraid to try new directions. We also share the same desire to create beautiful solutions. A colour is more than just shades and hues, and you’ve got to take pains to achieve a satisfying solution. Eilersen’s vast insight into colours enables them to convey their thoughts and ideas to our colour developers, who subsequently provide their interpretation of Eilersen’s preferences and styles,” says Ulla Matthiesen.

In addition to the three new colours, Flügger already has eight Eilersen colours in its collection.
