Flügger Danmarks Stafetten postponed

The corona situation and the extension of the restrictions mean that it would not be possible to organise the cycle race responsibly, and therefore postponing it is the only option.

Jimmi Mortensen, Flügger CEO: “We had been looking forward to climbing back onto our bikes for Danmarks Indsamling again this year, and in so doing help draw attention to this year’s theme, children of the corona crisis. Ironically, it’s the corona pandemic which is putting a stop to it happening now. Bike rides or not, Danmarks Indsamling’s primary purpose is still intact, and we are thrilled to be continuing our commitment and cooperation.”

Ole Egeblad, organiser: “It’s a real shame, but it’s the right decision. We’re all looking forward to being able to cycle together again for the benefit of the world’s disadvantaged, and will obviously be ready when we can hopefully meet up later in the year.”

Mulle Juul Korsholm, Danmarks Indsamling: “Flügger Danmarks Stafetten is a brilliant way of getting around the country and telling everyone about this worthy cause. This year we had received a lot of interest from several of our biggest donors, so it’s obviously a pity that we can’t go ahead with the ride. Nevertheless, we’re very grateful for the support and for Flügger’s continued commitment to Danmarks Indsamling.”

The fundraising event Danmarks Indsamling and Flügger are hoping to be able to offer all qualifying companies the chance of participating in a cycling event later in the year, assuming the corona situation permits it.
